Clear information for patients exploring CDCP dental care, from eligibility and coverage to what to ask before booking.
Coverage is based on the Government of Canada plan rules, your eligibility, the service provided and CDCP-established fees.
Understanding the plan
The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps make oral health care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents. It is administered by the Government of Canada through Service Canada and Sun Life.
CDCP coverage is not the same as free dental care or private dental insurance. The plan may pay a portion of eligible services at CDCP-established fees. Co-payments, additional clinic charges, service limits and preauthorization requirements may apply.
